Bonobo feat. Erykah Badu – Heaven For The Sinner
‘The North Borders’ is on everyone’s lips. Simon Green a.k.a. Bonobo announced his next artist album hurling more towards a fusion between his classic vibes and new inventions in uptempo house or glitchy beats. ‘Heaven For The Sinner’ reminds of earlier productions including the Ninja Tune vocalist Bajka (‘Days To Come’ /’Between the Lines’). With Erykah Badu joining the UK producer, the comparison isn’t a topic to argue about: The soul in his productions will never die. Rich instrumentation, a shuffling and syncopated rhythm and the mesmerizing humming and many-layered support by Erykah make this one a timeless classic. Sadly, we will have to wait another six weeks to get our hands on a contender for the ‘album of the year’.
