Public Service Broadcasting – Everest (Leftside Wobble Mix)

“Taking samples from old public information films, archive footage and propaganda material, and mould them into 21st century songs” is what Leftside Wobble makes very unique among the London-based producer duos. Wrigglesworth and Willgoose grabbed the attention of several radio hosts like Chris Coco on Melodica or Mary Anne Hobbs on XFM. This piece called ‘Everest’ which uses samples from an 1953 documentary film is weaved in velvety soft melodies aimed at stirring your emotions. It’s a pity this isn’t actually available anywhere, only this SoundCloud sample may suffice so far.
